The day we set out to revamp Baggiya School felt electric with purpose. We knew it wasn’t just about the physical changes; it was about creating a space where the kids could feel valued. To raise funds, I turned to something close to my heart: baking. The bake sale was more than just selling treats—it was about the community coming together. Friends, family, and neighbours supported the cause, and with each cake and cookie sold, we inched closer to our goal.

Once the funds were in, the joy of buying stationery for the students felt immense. Bright notebooks, colourful pens, and sturdy rulers—each item represented a fresh start for the children.

The highlight, however, was the sports day we organized for the kids. The field buzzed with laughter as they participated in races and games. Seeing their faces light up when they crossed the finish line made all the planning worth it. After the activities, we served them lunch—simple, but made with love.

As we shared meals, the children talked about their dreams and hopes, the new school supplies tucked in their bags. It wasn’t just a day of fun, but a moment of connection, of showing the kids that they were seen and supported. That day, Baggiya School felt like more than just a building—it felt like a community where everyone mattered.
