Cultural Awareness

In the cultural awareness seminar, I highlighted the ongoing mistreatment of tribes in Jharkhand, an issue often overlooked in mainstream discussions. Jharkhand's indigenous communities have long faced social, economic, and political marginalization. Their land rights are frequently violated, with corporations and the government acquiring tribal lands for mining and industrial projects, often without proper consent. These practices displace entire communities, stripping them of their livelihoods and cultural heritage.
Additionally, many tribes face systemic neglect in terms of healthcare, education, and infrastructure. Traditional knowledge systems are undervalued, and their languages are at risk of extinction due to inadequate preservation efforts.
Through this seminar, my goal was to raise awareness of the pressing need for stronger legal protections for Jharkhand’s tribes and to emphasize the importance of preserving their cultural identities. By acknowledging these injustices, we can foster greater empathy and work towards more inclusive policies that protect their rights and heritage.
