HUMANS OF SHRI RAM
Being the Senior Photography Editor on the editorial board has been a fulfilling experience, allowing me to blend creativity with storytelling. My role involves curating visuals that complement the articles, ensuring that each image captures the essence of the stories we publish. This position has pushed me to refine my photography skills, think critically about visual narratives, and collaborate closely with writers to ensure that the visual and written content align seamlessly.
My favorite section of the magazine is Humans of Shriram (HOSR). This feature captures the essence of our school community by showcasing individual stories that often go unnoticed. Through this segment, I’ve had the privilege of photographing a wide range of people, from students to teachers and staff members, each with a unique story to tell. Capturing their candid moments and pairing those with their personal anecdotes has been incredibly rewarding. It’s more than just photography—it’s about preserving a piece of someone’s identity and sharing it with the larger community.
HOSR reminds me of the power of storytelling through images, and being part of this process has been an inspiring journey. Every photo I take for this segment brings the school’s diverse personalities and experiences to life, making it my favorite part of the magazine.
