As the inaugural Head of the Round Square Student Committee, I had the privilege of shaping what this role would mean for our school community. From the start, my goal was to foster a culture of open dialogue and collaboration. One of my first initiatives was attending and participating in "postcards"—virtual international discussions with Round Square schools across the globe. These discussions offered an eye-opening opportunity to exchange ideas on global issues, from sustainability to equity, and helped me build connections with peers from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Hosting discussions within my own school further solidified the importance of these conversations. It was inspiring to see students engage thoughtfully with topics that reached far beyond the classroom. The excitement and curiosity during these sessions reinforced my belief in the power of youth-led discussions to drive meaningful change.

One of the most significant events I organized was the Inter-House Peace Day Assembly. Bringing together students from all houses, we focused on the theme of peace—both global and personal. The assembly featured speeches, performances, and reflections that not only highlighted the importance of global unity but also the role we play as individuals in fostering peace in our daily lives.

Through these experiences, I’ve seen firsthand how being part of the Round Square network has broadened our perspectives and encouraged us to take active roles in addressing the world’s challenges. Leading this initiative has been a deeply rewarding experience, one that has strengthened my leadership skills and commitment to global citizenship.
