Training under Sharmila B. Livingston has been an inspiring journey for me, and music has played an integral role in shaping my personal growth. Through vocal training, I’ve developed not only as a singer but also as a person. One of the most memorable moments in this journey was performing solo at the Vatican Embassy for Christmas. Singing in such a prestigious setting was both exhilarating and humbling, marking a significant milestone in my musical path.

Another defining experience has been my time with the Capital City Minstrels, where I’m the youngest member. Being part of this choir has allowed me to learn from talented individuals, collaborate on complex pieces, and be part of something larger than myself. The diversity within the choir has enriched my musical understanding, and I’ve built long-lasting friendships with people who share my passion for music.

Music has helped me break out of my shell and build confidence in performing in front of audiences. Every performance is a blend of preparation, nerves, and joy, and each has made me stronger. Whether it’s practicing harmonies with my fellow choristers or delivering a solo in front of a crowd, these moments have shaped my ability to connect with people through music.
